The United States Congress created the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) for defining hazardous and non-hazardous waste and tracking these wastes according to a “Cradle-to-Grave” system. The RCRA Subtitle C and D regulations mandate that facilities that transport, store, or dispose (TSDF) of hazardous or municipal solid wastes are required to obtain a RCRA Part A or Part B Permit under certain conditions. Spirit’s team of engineers and scientists has the experience and resources to evaluate a TSDF’s operations and complete the applicable Part A or Part B Permit applications. Our capabilities include everything from conducting the initial site assessment to the final closure of the facility.

Waste permitting services include:

  • Part A and Part B RCRA Permit Application Preparation and Regulatory Support
  • RCRA Permit Renewals and Permit Modification Support
  • Regulatory Closure of Permitted Units and Termination of Part A or Part B Permits
  • Regulatory Agency Negotiations and Public Meeting Involvement
